Global warming is a highly talked about subject lately with the warm weather recently in the united states. There are many possibility's and opinions to why is has been so warm in the past years. The argument is that people and the releasing of massive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and causing this warming. The other side states that it is the climate change that is causing this warming over the past 100 years.
I chose to talk about if we should save the economy or the environment as of right now. I believe due to all the people out of work and the billions of dollars of debt we are in we should focus on saving the economy. We could help both of them at the same time by drilling in the united states and also creating more jobs switching to wind, water and solar power. If we start building more windmills and give tax write offs to natural energy it will produce jobs as well as helping people save money. If we dig in the United States we can help ourselves get out of debt by selling our natural gasses.
The big worry is the contaminating of the water supply. I believe there are ways to filter the water to make safe for drinking that haven't been exercised yet. If all the other country's found ways to drill for oil and not affect the populations so can we. It is going to be a timely process and we will not figure out if it will work or not unless we try it out for ourselves.
